Jonesborough Locally Grown
is a community non-profit organization dedicated to supporting our local farmers, building our community, and increasing access to and awareness of fresh, healthy, locally grown food. We operate producer-only markets—where growers sell directly to consumers; no resale is allowed. We offer you two ways to buy the freshest local produce and food through our Saturday market and our online market. And coming in 2014: Boone Street Market retail store!
When the Saturday market closes in October, the online market opens up for the winter and offers local products every week until the Saturday market returns in May. It works like this: From Sunday-Tuesday customers can place orders on “the Market” page of this website for delivery to the Jonesborough Visitors Center on Wednesdays from 5-6pm. To get notification when the market is open, create your free customer account. When ordering is open, just click on “the Market” and start shopping!See the Q&A section for all the details!

Invitation to Volunteer
Volunteer support is critical to the operation of the Jonesborough Farmers Market! We rely on volunteers to infuse the market with a spirit of community and maintain the many programs that make our market special and welcoming, both to customers and vendors. Community and vendor volunteers serve on the board, help with set-up and take down, staff the market information booth, coordinate our Farm to Table dinner fundraiser, and more! It’s fun, the tasks are manageable and we provide training. You will meet some people you will be glad to know, and munch on a lot of good fresh food.
If you are interested in finding out more about the volunteer jobs available at our market go to VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTIONS. If you would like to fill out an application form to be a volunteer, go to MARKET VOLUNTEER APPLICATION FORM. One of the market managers will contact you to welcome you to the market team. If you are ready to sign up on the volunteer schedule go to JB MARKET SIGN UP SCHEDULE (coming soon). If you are interested in helping with the Farm to Table Dinner go to FTT SIGN UP (coming soon). You may also just come on down to the Saturday Market and talk to us about volunteering. Everything can be taken care of right there, and you can easily observe the operation of the market and meet the folks you would be working with if you decide to volunteer.
You can also call our volunteer coordinator Holly Ward at 423-612-4657, or email email@example.com. for more information.
The Farm to Table Dinner
Main Street Cafe and Catering created and hosted our first Farm to Table fundraiser on a beautiful August evening in 2011. At each Farm to Table Dinner, Chef Alex Bomba creates an elegant 5-course meal from market ingredients.
The dinner raises critical operating funds for the market, thanks to the support of the town, a zillion volunteer servers, and the generous donations of
This year’s dinner served 200 people at our signature table on Main Street.
