I opened my business Elkes Backstube November 2014, when Boone Street Market opened their doors to costumers.
There was a request for gluten free products for the store, I am a food technology ingenieur and love to experiment in the kitchen. No idea about gluten free, existing recipes not working for my taste buds, but love and enthusiasm for baking, has let me create a lot of recipes over time.
Now I bake gluten free breads, rolls, cookies, cakes, muffins and more.
With my roots in Germany and my heart in Tennessee, I love to bake some typical german goodies, fames are my Stollen and Elisen (Lebkuchen) at Christmas but also my cookie platters.
