Looking to 2014

Dear Customers, Vendors, Followers, Supporters!

Thanks to one and all for a great 6th market season in 2013! By way of “year in review” we invite you to see Amanda Churchill’s beautiful collection of photographs that is now assembled in one place—you’ll see market scenes, a couple of farm visits, and lots of the farm to table dinner. Next, an immediate challenge. We want to update you on Karen Heiney of Kany Farm. Karen has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She is beginning chemotherapy and radiation. Karen has health insurance, but she faces a double whammy of expensive medications and loss of farm income. If you would like to help out, there are a few ways to do so:

• bring a frozen casserole/meal that serves 2-4 to the online market pickup on Jan 8th.
• make a donation to the “Heiney Health Fund” that we have set up at First Tennessee bank. You may make a deposit directly or Debbie will collect donations at online markets. All contributions will be anonymous.
• Want to help deliver eggs/feed chickens? Talk to Debbie!

The Heineys want everyone to know how very grateful they are for the support they have already received from our market community.

As we keep Karen in our thoughts, we also wish for you ALL a healthy and happy 2014.
