Reschedule of Online Market
DUE TO THE WEATHER…
We have cancelled the online market pick up for today (Wednesday Jan 29) and have moved it to tomorrow (Thursday Jan 30)
Same schedule for vendor delivery and customer pick-up:
Vendors deliver 4-5pm, Customers pickup 5-6pm. Look for us in the museum area of the Jonesborough Visitor Center.
We are aware that the main roads will probably be open tonight, however, on consulting our farmers, many of them would be in potentially dangerous or at least extremely inconvenient situations getting the products to JB tonight. (Sliding beef down the road on a sled to get it to the truck parked at the bottom of the hill?)
Call Deb at 423-794-8644 if you have concerns or questions.
The Market Managers
Rowdy Yates
I’m terribly sorry to convey more sad news, but we lost another member of our market community today:
Rowdy Yates—a season vendor at our market for two years—selling Mountain View Bakery breads and baked goods. Rowdy was killed tragically this morning in a car accident.
Our heartfelt sympathies go out to his wife Rhonda.
Karen Heiney Service Information

The Jonesborough Farmers Market will also be coordinating a gathering to celebrate and remember Karen at a future date.
Rembering Karen Heiney
It is with heavy hearts that we open the market today: our friend and farmer Karen Heiney (Kany Farm) passed away yesterday.
Our hearts go out to Mike and all of Karen’s family.
You—along with our fine managers, Debbie Kruse, Heidi Ehle & Charles Jones—have been a vital part of the community support that has rallied around Mike and Karen during her brief but intense illness.
We will let you know when service arrangements are finalized.
Debbie will be posting Kany Farm eggs and chickens for sale until their supply runs out. Check back as quantities may change after the market opens today.
On that sad note, the market is open. Order now through Tuesday 1/28 at noon and pick up your order Wednesday 1/29 between 5:00 & 6:00 pm at the Jonesborough Visitors Center.
